On Friday 22 July 2022, the Dreamy Natural Accord group held a concert to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Gregor Mendel. The concert took place as part of the Mendel Festival.

Poem to celebrate Gregor Johann Mendel on his 200th birthday

We were in the dark
Without tools and knowledge
But you worked hard
Even without a college 

For many years
huge amounts of data collecting
And without peers
startling results presenting

Watching the Nature
Plants, storms even tornado
you changed the future
what we are now and do

The simple pea plants
Counting thousands of their seeds
Now we can sing chants
Your math makes leads

Your genetic laws
You freely and clearly for us let 
Us know their cause
Treatment is finally not a bet 

Mendel – thanks to you
Now in every case and season
We know the real reason
We know the truth
